Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation met on Friday with Foreign Minister of Argentina, Susana Mabel Malcorra.
The two ministers discussed mutual cooperation between the UAE and Argentina and ways to enhance them in various domains and exchanged views on a number of regional and global issues of mutual interests. Shaikh Abdullah stressed the strong UAE-Argentina relations and keenness on boosting them.
Malcorra welcomed Shaikh Abdullah’s visit, stressing keenness of Argentina to develop its ties with the UAE. Shaikh Abdullah also chaired the first meeting of the UAE-Argentina joint ministerial committee.
Shaikh Abdullah and Malcorra signed three Memoranda of Understanding. One related to giving exemption of diplomatic and special official passport holders from pre-entry visa. The second regarding exemption of pre-entry visa for ordinary passports holders, and last MoU was granting permission to families of diplomats and consuls to work in both countries.
Later, Shaikh Abdullah held a joint press conference with Argentine’s Foreign Minister, during which he extended thanks to Malcorra for the constructive discussions. He also extended thanks for the Argentine people for warm welcome during his visit. He expressed his full confidence that the two countries will continue cooperation in the future
