Egypt's visiting Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Monday inspected construction sites of Jaber Hospital and Al-Jahraa Road, ventures being executed by the Arab Contractors Company as part of mutual cooperation between Kuwait and Cairo.
Mahlab, during the tour, was briefed about the works at the mega ventures' sites. Meanwhile, the company board chairman, Mohammad Mohsen, said the large hospital would include eight wards and accommodate 1,168 beds.
The hospital, being built on a 225,000-sq-m plot of land, would include clinics, large parking lots, an emergency ward and houses for staff.
Up to 76 percent of the KD 304 million project has been accomplished and the construction is forecast to finish in December, he said.
Mahlab started a three-day official visit to Kuwait on Sunday, in response to an official invitation by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
