First Vice President and Prime Minister of the Republic of Sudan First Lieutenant Bakri Hassan Saleh affirmed the government's eagerness to continue its path towards development which was outlined by Darfur Peace Agreement to achieve complete and sustained peace in the area.
Meeting with Governor of South Darfur State Adam Al Faki Ali, Saleh reviewed the real achievements of the agreement and the new plans set for the new phase regarding Doha Document for Peace and the developmental projects related to it.
On the other hand, the governor of South Darfur said the state has achieved plenty in planning camps for the displaced where the El Salam camp has become a town with more than 150 thousand residents. In addition the number of voluntary repatriation has increased without government interference due to the peace operation.
Ali added that the state has also benefited from the outputs of tribal reconciliation to achieve peaceful coexistence.
