The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has affirmed that the economic advantages Sudan enjoys for production and manufacturing of all kinds meat make it the appropriate country for the production of halal meat to the Kingdom's markets.
This came when the Wali (governor) of Khartoum State Lt. Gen.
Engineer Abdul-Rahim Mohamed Hussein received at his office Wednesday Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdul-Aziz and his accompanying delegation in Khartoum, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Investment and Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in Khartoum State.
The members of the royal delegation affirmed that all the studies conducted to produce halal meat confirmed that Sudan enjoys comparative advantages including its nearness to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the natural pastures and vast lands and well-experienced labor that reduce the cost of production and make Sudanese meat to be highly competitive in the markets.
Khartoum Wali welcomed the desire of His Royal Highness Prince Saud and his accompanying delegation to work in Sudan in the field of production, stressing that the doors of Khartoum state are open for the brothers from Saudi Arabia in implementation of the directives of the Presidency of the Republic in this regard. He pointed to the strong relations between the two countries and the Sudan positioning in one trench with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the protection of the land of the Two Holy Mosques.
The Engineer Hussain announced the formation of a ministerial committee headed by the Minister of Industry and Investment in Khartoum state to follow up the implementation of partnership projects with the Saudi royal side.
