President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of establishing industrial zones in accordance with the timetables set and the international standards.
He directed that all the official permits for operating the industrial facilities should be provided to the investors as soon as these industrial zones are completed to avoid any delay in operating factories.
Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
During the meeting, Qabil reviewed with Sisi the work progress in the projects on new industrial zones.
The minister said that 13.5 million square meters would be offered by the end of this year compared to 2.6 million square meters 2015, including five million square meters to be provided in the 10th of Ramadan city on December 23, Youssef said.
