The Ministry of Labor and Social Development is planning to Saudize the business of car sales and car rental offices in the first half of 2017, an official source has told media. The decision will cover 2,228 rental firms, 77 car agencies and 1,733 car showrooms, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment. The emphasis will be on mega agencies, which are employing large numbers of non-Saudis, said the source. Experts say the car rental market is poised to grow in the next years owing to a number of factors including population growth, the growing numbers of pilgrims and visiting businessmen.
