Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Wednesday directed the bodies concerned to re-award construction contracts to contractors other than those who did not comply with the planned schedule.
The prime minister made the remarks in the weekly cabinet meeting.
During the meeting, Ismail stressed the importance of following up the work progress in Giza projects so that they would contribute to improving the level of services provided to citizens.
Also in the meeting, the cabinet reviewed a report on the projects which were still under construction projects in the governorate.
Giza governor Kamal Al Daly said that approximately 1,157 projects are under construction in the governorate at a total cost of around EGP 39 billion in various service and development sectors.
