The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will temporarily divert a 600 metre section of the Dukhan Highway between the old and new Al Wajba interchanges to complete the necessary finishing works on the Dukhan Highway Central expressway project.
The minor road change, which has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will be implemented on Friday, 24 February, 2017 and be in operation for a brief period of two months.
During the operation of the diversion, road users travelling towards Doha on the Dukhan Highway will be transferred onto the opposite side of the road for a short distance of 600 metres before rejoining the existing roadway. Ashghal will reduce the number of lanes from three to two for the length of the road change.
The Public Works Authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, which has been reduced from 80 kph to 50 kph for the length of the diversion, and follow newly implemented traffic road signs to ensure their safety.
