Minister of State for Investment, Osama Faisal underlined that the Government was endeavoring to enhance indicators of business in the country via integrated procedural, and legal packages.
This came when the Minister of State met, Wednesday with the visiting British delegation led by Robe Daniel in presence of Representative of UK Embassy in Khartoum and Undersecretary of Ministry of Investment.
The State Minister indicated to efforts made by Sudan to join World Trade Organization (WTO) and to Sudan cooperation in implementing recommendations and technical standards set by the international institutions, such International Monetary Fund (IMF), and UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Faisal pointed out that Sudan is steadily moving towards effecting development and directing investment towards economic growth , especially, he said, after lifting of sanctions against Sudan.
He said the Ministry was looking forward for further cooperation with British, institutions, companies and private sector.
The head of British delegation affirmed welcome of his country to political and economic developments in Sudan and Government efforts to realize peace and stability .
He expressed readiness to provide proposals on cooperation between Sudan and UK in areas of investment and economy.
It is worth mentioning that the visit of the British delegation to Sudan came within context of continuation of dialogue between the two countries.
