Iraq will start extending to Egypt one million barrels of oil monthly within few days in line with an agreement signed between the two states, the Iraqi ambassador in Cairo said.
In statements to MENA on Wednesday, Ambassador Habib al Sadr said the amount of oil could later on be increased.
Sadr commended Egypt's support for Iraq at Arab and international levels and its contribution to the war against terror.
Sadr said he is aware that Egypt is busy with confronting terror in Sinai and tracking down terror cells, voicing hope to promote cooperation in various domains.
Meanwhile, he said there are Iraqi cities that were almost totally destroyed after expelling Daesh.
He urged Egyptian companies and workers to contribute to rebuilding these cities.
He noted that an Egyptian delegation visited Iraq two months ago to post it on Egypt's expertise and train Iraqis in the field of restoring factories and devastated facilities.
He called for encouraging Iraqi tourists to flow to Egypt, noting that Iraqi businessmen could also invest in the contracting domain in Egypt.
