Lebanese Industry Minister Vrej Sabonjian signed a cooperation protocol with his Sudanese counterpart Aawad Ahmed Aijaz in Sudan. The cooperation memorandum aims to boost bilateral ties between Lebanon and Sudan on different aspects, particularly in industrial field. During the ceremony which was held at the Sudanese Industry Ministry in presence of Lebanese Ambassador to Sudan Ahmaed Shammat and a number of Lebanese industrials and businessmen Sabonjian, Aijaz praised the Lebanese achievements in Sudan were they became Sudanese Lebanese, stressing readiness to build partnership based on joint interest. On his part, Sabonjian hailed the Lebanese Sudanese robust relations, calling on both countries to activate and develop them more on all levels. Sabonjian stressed "since Lebanon and Sudan have a stable situation so we should pave the way for more investments". Sabonjian conveyed President Michel Sleiman's regards to Sudanese President Omar Hasan Ahed el Bashir who supports and boosts investment and chairs the Higher Committee for investments in Sudan.
