IDSC: No increase in social housing units prices

The Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) on Tuesday dismissed reports circulated by websites and social media about raising the prices of social housing units after the increase of construction materials costs.
Such news are groundless and bare of truth, the IDSC said in its fact finding report.
Citizens will not bear any new burdens, instead the State will cover the price differences, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities & Urban Development told IDSC.
Meanwhile, the Housing Ministry urged all media outlets to publish accurate information and communicate with the bodies concerned to verify the news.
