The Gulf Standardization Organization's (GSO) Technical Committee for Food and Agricultural Products will hold a meeting in Doha on February 27-28.
In the context of events associated with the meeting, the GSO in coordination with Qatar General Organization for Standardization organized a workshop on legislations and legal regulations related to energy drinks.
Acting Head of technical committees department of GSO Eng. Abdullah Al Hadlaq said that the workshop was organized in presence of a number of Gulf and Qatari officials along with specialized scientific and consulting companies.
He added that the workshop tackled legal regulations and legislations related to energy drinks, their conditions and the requirements of the World Trade organization (WTO) in addition to the need for the Gulf legislations to be compatible with these requirements to ensure the smooth flow of goods between GCC Member States and other countries on scientific grounds and a high level of neutrality.
