Director of the Supply Police Department Yasser Saber stressed on Monday that food prices will decrease within the coming period.
Saber, in an interview with MENA, said Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghafar gave directives to hold meetings with traders, importers, exporters and owners of commercial chains to control and bring down food prices within the coming period, especially with the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
As part of Ghafar's directives, more outlets of the Interior Ministry will be set up within the coming period to sell food commodities at affordable prices.
Till now, the ministry has 250 outlets out of 500 it is planning to establish across the nation.
