Chairman of the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) Ahmed Hamed said on Thursday that 50 baggage screening devices were installed in 11 Upper Egypt train stations and 19 Lower Egypt stations in order to confront terror threats.
In a press release, he added that 62 electronic gates were also installed in 12 Upper Egypt stations and 15 Lower Egypt stations to secure them.
He pointed out that CCTV cameras were installed in Ramses Station in Cairo and Sidi Gaber Station in Alexandria.
He added that other CCTV cameras will be installed in six Upper Egypt stations in the coming period.
