Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza has received Irish Ambassador to Bahrain, Joseph Anthony Cotter, and his delegation.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the fields of electricity, water and renewable energy.
They also reviewed the latest projects implemented by the Irish engineering consultancy firm ESBI as well as the support of the Government of Bahrain for foreign investments in the electricity, water and sustainable energy sectors.
The minister praised the ongoing efforts of the company in the implementation of projects and its 40-year relationship with Bahrain.
The meeting came as part of Bahrain’s support of and closer cooperation with the private sector.
The ambassador thanked the minister and officials for the reception, welcome and the hospitality and said Bahrain’s laws and regulations encourage foreign investment. He said Bahrain’s senior officials are always accessible and open to meet with investors and follow up on the progress of their investments.
