Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla had talks on Wednesday with Kuwaiti Ambassador in Cairo Mohamed Saleh Zowaikh on means of promoting bilateral cooperation in the petroleum and natural gas domains.
In statements on Wednesday, Mulla said Egypt imports quantities of Kuwaiti crude oil to be refined at Egyptian labs.
Egypt also imports diesel oil from the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation with payment facilities, he said.
The minister lauded the achievements realized by the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) and Kuwait Energy in Egypt in oil prospecting domain.
The minister cited cooperation between Kuwait Energy and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) in developing Fayhaa and Siba oil fields in Iraq.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait ambassador stressed his country's keenness on furthering the Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties.
