Egypt is at the forefront of countries which drew up a strategy for sustainable development, said International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr.
During a symposium organized by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Nasr said that a committee was formed under the chairmanship of the prime minister and groups all the relevant ministries concerned with attaining the 17 goals of the development strategy.
The committee is not confined to the government but it also includes the civil society, the private sector and the partners of development through providing technical aid and getting acquainted with the experiences of the previous countries to confront the current challenges, she added.
