The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Algeria hit more than one billion dollars, said Executive Director of the Egyptian businessmen association Mohammad Yousuf.
In statements on Sunday, Yousuf said that this trade volume does not reflect the hoped-for investment relations the two countries eye within the framework of the Arab and African cooperation.
Cairo aims, through its participation in the Africa Investment Forum, to strengthen ties with Algiers, Yousuf added.
He called on the two countries’ businessmen to exert more effort to promote the trade relations between Egypt and Algeria, pointing out that Egypt is keen on having future projects with Algeria in many fields, especially fuels.
