The Economic Development Board(EDB), in collaboration with the eGovernment Authority, launched the Bahrain Events Calendar initiative - an event planner that helps in noting and searching for all the events and activities organized in the kingdom of Bahrain such as conferences and exhibitions. The Calendar aims at enhancing joint coordination between government and non-government entities to set the right time frames to organize events and activities to avoid time conflict between concurrent events in terms of content or targeted audience. The new eService also contributes in highlighting the major role played by various public relations departments in introducing and promoting the strategic initiatives implemented by the government entities in line with the National Economic Strategy and Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. Bahrain Events Calendar enables the public to view all events taking place in the Kingdom of Bahrain and provides them with opportunity to search for the upcoming events of interest. All public and private entities can register for this service and add their new events and will subsequently be notified about their request status through email and SMS. Such service is useful to view by Journalists to have notice of what activities to cover useful to event management companies to better suit their client timings of activities and holding events along with Hoteliers and other audiences.
