The Moroccan company Palmeraie Industries et Services has launched its new Dolidol factory in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire after 18 months of construction work.
The group Palmeraie Industries et Service launched its new Dolidol factory for polyurethane foam and bedding in the industrial zone of Abidjan. The factory, which extends over 17,000 m2, required 18 months of construction work and a total investment of MAD 125 million.
According to a statement released by the group, “The annual production capacity will thus reach 6,000 tons of polyurethane foam with a daily production of 1,500 mattresses.” The project will create 300 direct jobs in Abidjan and the products will be distributed in 10 stores and regional agencies. Also, the company’s marketing will target a number of African countries in the region.
Saad Berrada Sounni, President of the Palmeraie Industries et Services said, “We are pleased to be able to realize our commitment to the Ivorian State and the quality of the partnership we have with [it] has enabled us to work quickly and efficiently.”
With the aim to consolidate its presence in the African continent, the group’s 2020 continental strategy gave birth to the new plant in Abidjan.
The President of the Palmeraie Industries et Services said in the same vain, “Our presence in Côte d’Ivoire strengthens the group’s international development, particularly in Africa,” adding that Abidjan is a regional hub that will enable them to serve the sub-region in the long term.
