Deir Ezzor Governorate opened on Tuesday a water passage between the two banks of the Euphrates River at al-Shmeitieh area to help citizens return to their villages and houses after the Syrian Arab Army and the supporting and allied forces had restored security and stability to the city.
Deir Ezzor Governor Mohammad Ibrahim Samra said at a popular celebration that the step aims to help people return to their normal life in all areas of Deir Ezzor and resume their agricultural production, affirming that the government is committed to provide all services to the citizens.
Units of the army have secured the arrival of a number of families to Deir Ezzor city and offered them basic materials after liberating the city from Daesh terrorists.
