Dakhla is hosting the third annual Crans Montana Forum (CMF) from March 16 to 21 under the theme “Africa and South-South Cooperation.”
Like the previous two editions, 2017’s forum will bring together state delegations and representatives, economic operators and representatives of international organizations from different countries to discuss economic and political issues in Africa.
“This third edition will bring together major decision-makers on a global scale and will allow us to open an in-depth reflection on Africa of the 21st century,” said CMF.
The Forum will discuss Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture, with Moroccan officials presenting their country’s policies to guarantee food security.
Other themes will be discussed during the forum, including public health, renewable energies, migration to Europe, and female participation in the economic and political spheres.
In 2015, more than 2,000 participants attended Dakhla’s edition under the theme “Africa and South-South Cooperation: Better Governance for Sustainable Economic and Social Development.”
Founded in 1986 in Switzerland, the Crans Montana Forum is a non-governmental organization focused on encouraging international cooperation, dialogue, development, stability, peace, and security in the world.
The Forum brings together illustrious figures from 36 African, 30 Asian, 31 European and 15 American countries, as well as more than 20 regional and international organizations.
