Head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) Abu Bakr el Gendi said that the number of tourists increased 7% in October.
In statements to MENA on Friday, Gendi added that the impact of floating the Egyptian pound was reflected on price hikes and increase of the annual inflation by 5% on monthly basis.
In 2016, CAPMAS conducted surveys for the first time aiming at improving the living conditions topped by a survey on violence against women, economic cost, Egyptian countryside conditions and youth and infants in slums, Gendi said.
He added that the number of Egyptian population reached 92 million on November 24.
