Prime Minister Sherif Ismail called on Monday for finalizing all measures related to the payment of the ten percent bonus for employees who are not subjected to the newly-approved civil law.
In this respect, he gave directives for holding a meeting involving the Finance Ministry, the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF) and the Manpower Committee of the Parliament today to finish this issue as soon as possible.
The bonus will be paid radioactively as of July and will be included in the basic salary.
Meanwhile, Manpower Minister Mohamed Safaan said the prime minister is keen on developing state-owned steel and iron and textile companies and solving problems facing workers to increase production rates.
Safaan said the ETUF representatives called for an immediate solution to the problems of workers.
Safaan's remarks came at a press conference after his meeting with Ismail and the ETUF chairman.
