Bahrain News Agency (BNA) took part in the meetings of the GCC news agencies' Technical Committee which are hosted by the GCC Secretariat General in Riyadh, on March 15 and 16.
The meeting was chaired by Head of BNA's Electronic Media Unit Abdulrahim Yusef Janahi who praised the meeting which aims to continue the dedicated efforts to further develop the GCC news agencies. He said discussing future work plans of the GCC news agencies' Technical Committee requires bringing out proposals to further promote the news agency and build on previous achievements.
The meeting spotlighted carrying out plans to protect data and systems at the GCC news agencies and ensure continuity of their work by putting in place a roadmap and looking into ways of ameliorating technical tools of exchanging news services and experiences. The future plan of the Technical Committee was also reviewed at the meeting in preparation for its submission to the 20th meeting of the GCC News Agencies' officials.
