The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced it will close part of Street No. 967 connected to Al Thakhira Road, starting from Thursday 30 March 2017 for two months.The closure extends for 100 meters in both directions at the junction between Street No. 967 and Al Thakhira Road near Al Meera. Traffic will be diverted to a newly constructed alternative road near the closed part.
This temporary diversion is required to enable the works of laying sewer rising mains as part of design, build, operate and maintain of Al Thakhira sewage treatment works, transfer pumping station and associated pipelines.The Public Works Authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow diversion road signs to ensure their safety.
