Transport Group of the Western Mediterranean (GTMO 5+5) expressed Thursday in Lisbon (Portugal) its satisfaction with Algeria's efforts during its chairmanship of the group, a Transport ministry's statement has said.
During the eighth session of the GMTO 5+5, made up of the Transport ministers of the Western Mediterranean, the participants expressed "gratitude" to Algeria for the actions launched during its presidency of the group.
They affirmed that transport development projects carried out during Algeria's chairmanship represented a "qualitative leap" and a "roadmap" that should be followed.
A report about GTMO 5+5 group's actions during Algeria's presidency (2012-2014) was presented to the member countries by Ghoul, who handed over the group's presidency of to Portugal.
At the end of the works, a news conference was held by Ghoul in the presence of Portuguese minister of Economy and Portugal's secretary of State in charge of economy.
In addition to GTMO 5+5, Ghoul's four-day visit to Lisbon was also an opportunity to boost Algerian-Portuguese transportation partnership.
