The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry will open a representative office in Belgrade in 2017 to help Emirati investors and businessmen who seek to invest in vital sectors in Serbia, revealed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber.
Al Mahmoud was speaking at a seminar on investment opportunities in the Republic of Serbia, which included the attendance of the special advisor to Serbia’s prime minister, Marko Cadez. President Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, top chamber officials and representatives of 50 UAE companies and associations.
Al Mahmoud said, during his speech, that he hopes this event would contribute to the promotion of economic and investment cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Serbia, and would result in promising opportunities for investors in Abu Dhabi to learn about opportunities, services and assistance provided by the authorities in Serbia for participation in investment projects.
He further said the Abu Dhabi Chamber is very interested in the development of areas of cooperation between investors and companies in Abu Dhabi and Serbia. Within this framework, the Chamber will open a representative office in Belgrade in 2017 to help investors and businessmen who seek to invest in vital sectors in Serbia.
Further, Marco Cadez called upon UAE companies to increase their investments in Serbian markets and take advantage of the assistance provided by the authorities for foreign investors.
The seminar included a presentation about the investment environment, opportunities, and a number of successful UAE projects in Serbia .
Additionally, a representative of Mirabank in Serbia spoke about the available investment opportunities in Serbia in the agricultural, tourist and banking sectors.
