Head of Al Ahram for Consumer Complexes Company Ehab el Lithy said that the total amount of sugar pumped in the company's 158 branches in Greater Cairo is between 72 to 80 tons daily.
In statements to MENA, Lithy said more quantities are provided in the areas suffering from sugar supply shortage.
Lithy said that there is supervision over the sugar share of each individual, adding that each citizen gets 2 kilos.
Lithy asserted that the goods are available in the complexes, saying that the price of the oil bottle is EGP 8.25 and the price of the rice kilo is EGP 4.5 included in the subsidy card.
