A ship sailed into Safaga port on Friday carrying 63,000 tons of wheat from Russia, said spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Malak Youssef.
The shipment was unloaded after finalizing all required procedures and examining some samples to make sure they are fit for human consumption, he added.
A ferryboat carrying 247 passengers, 15 trucks and 14 cars left Safaga port on Friday.
Meanwhile a ship laden with 69 trucks, 103 passengers and a car left the port as well.
Nuweiba port received today two ferryboat with 806 passengers, a car, two buses and 10 trucks on board.
