A NASA scientist named Mark is sent to investigate the scene of aircraft accidents in the Hoedspruit area of South Africa including the fatal crash of former Mozambican president Samora Marcel. As he plunges further into the investigation, he meets a New York Times journalist named Shelley, whose cameraman, John, deserts her to regain his former tribal status with the Timbavati people.
In “The Timbavati Secrets: Africa at Its Best” (published by AuthorHouse UK), the new novel from author Andries Botes, Mark and Shelley embark on an African adventure to stop John from going through with his tribal marriage and initiation while uncovering the cause behind the mysterious aircraft crashes.
“‘The Timbavati Secrets’ is a book that will appeal to all age groups and lovers of nature,” Botes says. “The topic of Africa fascinates people, driving many of them to travel to Africa as a favored tourist destination. But with more lions central to the theme, ‘The Timbavati Secrets’ will be appealing and draw attention.”
