Jennifer Lopez will release her first book in October. The 44-year-old singer has written True Love, a memoir that chronicles her recent personal life and career. Publisher Celebra describes the work as a "revealing personal diary" that follows the "transformative two-year journey of how, as an artist and a mother, [Lopez] confronted her greatest challenges, identified her biggest fears, and ultimately emerged a stronger person than she's ever been." "It started off as a diary of the year I went on tour," Lopez recently told People. "When I was on the road, it became something else. I really surprised myself, and I realized, 'Oh my god, I'm writing this book.'" "It was a very transformative moment in my life," the singer continues. "I had gone through a lot of changes and then confronting fears of having never toured and being a mom on my own. It was a real shellshock time for me." The busy star plans to release her eighth studio album, A.K.A., on June 17. She currently serves as a judge on American Idol, and is involved in several other projects as an actress and producer. In addition, the star is mother to twins Max and Emme. She was previously married to Marc Antony for eight years, but the couple divorced in 2012. True Love hits bookstores October 28.
