Minister of culture, Helmi Alnmenm will witness the events of the 5th Drums and Traditional Arts international festival on the stage of Bir Youssef in the Citadel on Wednesday, April 26, in an international display of all musician bands performing in a Sinai wedding.
For 7 days, the festival received great reactions from the audience and media. The festival will honor Ahmed Mounib from Nubia, Hassan Mohamed Saleh from Port Said, Atef Abd El Hameed from Sinai and head of Hasaballlah band, Fathi Shaaban al-Sunbati.
The festival is held under the supervision of Egyptian Culture Ministry, represented by, Cultural Development Fund headed by Ahmed Awaad, “Hewar” organization for popular culture arts, External Cultural Relations Sector headed by Ayman Abd El Hady and General Authority for Culture Palaces headed by, Sabry Saeed.
Halaib and Shalatin, the New Valley and Marsa Matruh will participate for the first time in the festival under the presidency of artist, Intsar Abdel Fattah, along with 30 bands from all over the world, and Ecuador as a guest of honor.
Artist Abdel Fattah said that, a band from Iraq came to participate and all bands will travel to Luxor to continue their performances in the center of the Egyptian civilization, in order to send a peace message to the world, saying that Egypt is embracing all nations and standing together in face of intolerance and extremism.
