Tickets for the various shows can be bought at Virgin Megastore, Bahrain City Centre or electronically through Virgin Megastore’s website virginmegastore.me. This is the fourth consecutive year for the festival, which is taking place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) in Sanabis from June 14th to July 15th 2012. Offering a wide variety of exciting shows and fun family activities by international artists for both young and old, the Bahrain Summer Festival attracts large crowds from Bahrain and abroad each year. This year the line-up of spectacular shows includes a plethora of educational and artistic events such as Slava’s SNOWSHOW created and staged by Slava Polunin; the Wooden Circus by Karromato; renowned Turkish musician, Omar Faruk Tekbilek; Saudi rapper Qusai aka Don Legend the Kamelion in collaboration with DJ Outlaw and Flipperachi; a concert by the young local talent, Hala Alturk, and performances of the West End family favourite, The Sound of Music. All shows will take place at the BIECC. Ticket prices for the shows range from BD2 to BD10 with children’s edutainment at Nakhool City being free of charge. The Ministry of Culture urges the public to reserve their tickets as soon as possible, as the festival usually attracts large crowds. The Summer Festival’s mascot “Nakhool” will again be in attendance to host Nakhool City, which this year includes free cultural, educational, and fun activities for children such as electronic games; technical colouring and painting workshops; a professional photography camp; and a puppet camp, amongst other programmes held on a daily basis, from 2 to 7 pm.
