Preparations are in full swing for the third edition of Khalid bin Hamad Youth Theatre Award Festival for National Clubs, Youth Centers and People with Disabilities.
Successfully organised for the third consecutive year under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honorary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, the festival will be held next October at the Muharraq Model Youth Centre, with large and active youth participation from various leaders and representatives of national clubs, youth centers and people with disabilities.
The organising committee had announced earlier that this year's edition will be held under the slogan #Let's_Plant_A_Smile and will introduce several workshops and additional activities.
Within the plans of the organising committee to prepare the participants by holding several seminars and workshops on theatre art, the committee announced that the second preparatory workshop will be held on Tuesday at 8PM in Abdulrahman Kanoo Cultural Centre.
The workshop will be supervised by Abdulla Suwayyed and will provide the necessary support to participants through the identification of different types of arts, and to try to avoid any obstacles that may face participants, including actors, directors and authors.
Jamal Al-Ghailan, the Director of the Festival announced that the workshop is open for all culture and arts enthusiasts, highlighting that the workshops are organised early to benefit the participants in the festival and allow them sufficient time to prepare for it.
Al-Ghailan confirmed that more workshops will be held between August 20 to August 30, calling upon the participants in the festival to attend and benefit from the topics discussed in the workshops and seminars.
