Artists from Sweden, Austria and China have given Thursday in Algiers, for the penultimate evening of the 6th International Cultural Festival, high profile concerts in an atmosphere reminiscent of great operas before aharmonized and numerous public.
For nearly two and a half hours of time, the public of the Mahieddine Bachtarzi National Theatre savored every moment of the evening with joy and pleasure, enthralled by the melodies the great classics of world music.
The "Trio Mats" of Sweden chose parts that inspire event and action, a prelude to the "1st movement of Trio Piano in G Major" by Franz Joseph Haydn, followed by "Tango piano Trio" by Harry Nilsson and "piano Trio No. 2 "by Dmitri Shostakovich, parts that enabled the three instrumentalists to show the extent of their talents.
The "Concilium Musicum Wien", an Austrian band consisting of nine members, including a woman on harp and percussion, has got the admiration of the audience, playing parts of Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), Franz Schubert (1797-1828), Johann Strauss senior- (1825-1899) and Joseph Lanner (1801-1843).
China, represented by "The Heilongjiang Symphony Orchestra" directed by Cheng Hao, was undoubtedly the attraction of the evening with a remarkable conducting and an almost perfect mastery of the instrument of the thirty musicians, who performed a dozen parts from the universal repertoire but also the Chinese musical heritage.
On the eve of the closing of the festival, the three bands have managed to generate terrific emotions with the audience which appreciated different genres of music, designed in both of Oriental and Western modes.
