Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Under-Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, attended the graduation ceremony of 144 students from the 70th basic police training course at the Federal Police School in Sharjah.
According to his statement during the event, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far said the UAE provides safety, security and stability to the general public due to the strategies of UAE leadership and the continuous support to the ministry by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, supported by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
The Ministry of Interior always strives, under the directives of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, to provide the needs of police and security departments, and provide department personnel with new and advanced technologies to fulfil their duties in record time, he added.
Al Sha'far highlighted the vital role of police academies and institutes to promote confidence in policing and their leading role in community service. They also promote and raise the capacities of national personnel, and provides adequate field training to prepare them to carry out the duties of the national security and police departments.
The Sharjah Federal Police School uses the latest training and education technologies, and seeks to promote community participation and raise security awareness among individuals, through its programmes and strategies, he added.
During his speech, Brigadier Ahmed Abdullah Al Hajri, Police School Director, said the UAE represents a leading model in development, as it presents an example to follow for creativity and development while preserving its civilised values to the entire world.
