The Pink Caravan, a pan-UAE awareness initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients, FoCP, is inviting all CrossFit enthusiasts in the UAE to join its CrossFit event taking place today, Monday, at Jumeriah Beach Residence, JBR, Dubai, from 6:00-8:00 p.m..
The outdoor event, featuring numerous CrossFit workouts, is organised by the Pink Caravan as part of its efforts to spread the message of awareness about breast cancer among all segments of society. Participants will get the opportunity to perform CrossFit workouts under the supervision of an elite group of coaches, while enjoying the warmer weather on the eighth day of the nationwide-horseback ride.
The events organising committee aims to provide entertaining and exciting sports events that help draw the attention of the largest possible audiences into the mobile clinics. Additionally, the event intends to inform the public about breast cancer, urging them to take advantage of the awareness programmes organised by the medical teams. It also aims to encourage the public to get free breast cancer screenings offered by the Pink Caravan to both women and men of various nationalities across the seven emirates.
Meanwhile, the Pink Caravan Ride kicks off from Downtown Dubai-Burj Khalifa at 9:00 a.m., to reach Al Sofouh Beach in Dubai at 3:00 p.m.. The mobile and fixed medical clinics welcomes visitors of various nationalities who want to get free breast cancer early detection examinations, from 9:00-7:00 p.m..
The Pink Caravan today also organised the CEO's Ride, in which 10 top CEO's will get the chance to take part in Pink Caravan Ride 2016 on a high note. As the Dubai route commences, CEOs will join the Pink Caravan Ride and lead the trek from Burj Khalifa to Burj Al Arab. By enrolling in UAE Top CEOs’ Ride for AED 200,000, each CEO will ensure the full treatment cost of a breast cancer patient in the UAE. With a total target of AED 2,000,000, 10 Chief Executive Riders will light up the life of 10 breast cancer patients.
