The monologue "Maya" of Algerian theatre company "Mosaïque" won six awards which Grand Award at the 14th International Theatre Festival of El Bugâa in Umdurman (Sudan), said Saturday communications manager of the National Algerian Theatre (TNA), Benbrahim Fethelnnour. Written and directed by Hichem Boussahla, "Maya" won six of the ten awards of the Festival including those of the best staging, best text, best scenery and the best sound effects. Actress Souad Djennati obtained Best Actress Award at the event held from March 27 to April 4, with the participation of several Arab countries (Jordan, Libya, Egypt, Arab Emirate States and Sudan). Produced in 2013 by a company operative of Sidi Bel Abbes, "Maya" written in Algerian Arabic, discusses the phenomenon of illegal immigration to Spain by mixing theater with dance and music.
