The Bieganski Art Festival, the largest event of its kind ever held in Maltese archipelago, kicked off on August 1, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta, capital of Malta.
Sponsored by the Bieganski Foundation, the month-long festival was aimed at commemorating 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War in art forms.
The festival features 75 local and foreign artists with the exhibition of their works depicting WWI, 120 paintings from the Bieganski collection, Master Artist Ray Pitre collection and 120 sketches and paintings from French trench artist Gaston Pierre Galey.
