Four Emirati artists will showcase their work at the Dubai Canvas 3D Art Festival 2017, organised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, GDMO, in partnership with Meraas.
The event also features the works of 25 international artists shortlisted for the Dubai Canvas 3D Art Award.
The event, to be held in City Walk from 1 to 7 March, has established itself as one of the major 3D Art events in the region and the world. The UAE artists participating in the event aims to gain experience through direct contact with prominent international 3D artists, and learn about the latest techniques used.
The event also offers an opportunity to local artists to showcase their skills, hence, open new horizon for them in the local busy artistic scene.
Project Manager of Dubai Canvas 2017 Ayesha bin Kalli said that Brand Dubai continuously support local artists, and ensure their presence in all the event it organizes, to help them refines their artistic talents. "I am glad with the participation of the 4 local artists," said Ayesha. "In all the events organised by Brand Dubai, we ensure the participation of local artists, and support them to unleash their talents. This is part of our comprehensive plans to support national youth talents, and enhance their involvement in the local artistic scene," she added.
The local artists participating in the event are Asma Al-Khori, Fatma Al Ali, Maitha Al-Marri, and Sara Al-Khori.
