The fifth International Festival of Literature and Children’s Book (Feliv), one of the major annual book and culture events, is to open Thursday in Algiers. The event will kicked off in the evening with the inauguration, at Hai El Badr metro station, of an exhibition called "Ten Stops in Modern Algerian Literature," to be held throughout the festival in all metro stations in Algiers. The exhibition is meant to pay tribute to ten late Algerian writers, considered as the founders of modern Algerian literature, including Mouloud Feraoun, Mohammed Dib, Kateb Yacine, Mouloud Mammeri, Malek Haddad, Abdelhamid Benhadouga, Reda Houhou, Moufdi Zakaria, among others.
