the 8th International Malouf Festival will open Thursday at Smail Sedrati games hall of El Khroub in Constantine, said Tuesday the festival’s Commissioner Djamel Foughali.
In a press conference, Foughali said that the “relocation” of the festival occurs in a “particular context” in the city of bridges where all the cultural buildings are being rehabilitated ahead of the event “Constantine, Capital of Arab Culture 2015.”
Underlining that the festival’s commission is committed to respecting its cultural agenda, Foughali said that the organization of the International Malouf Festival in El Khroub will give the occasion to this city’s inhabitant to appreciate this beautiful music.
Held under the slogan “Constantine, memory of Malouf,” this new edition, which will take place till October 14, will kick off with the Tunisian troupe “Chouyoukh el Malouf” alongside artists Hadj Mohamed-Tahar Fergani, Hamdi Benani and Ahmed Aouabdia.
