Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir expressed his intention to organize an annual tourism festival in Sudan to promote tourism in the Nile basin country.
Bashir on Saturday inaugurated the "Jabal-al-Barkal First International Festival for Culture, Tourism and Marketing", which takes place in the Northern State's city of Merowe.
Bashir also stressed Sudan's keenness to strengthen the tourism industry, in cooperation with Arab investors, to increase the country's national income.
An Egyptian popular delegation, under head of the Independence Current Ahmed El Fadaly, takes part in the festival.
