Georgia’s longest yard sale, the “Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale,” will take place March 9 -10, 2012, along US Highway 341, the Golden Isles Parkway. This gigantic yard sale links peach growing counties in Middle Georgia with the sandy beaches of the Golden Isles area. Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale is about 220 miles long featuring vendors selling everything from antiques, to local items and yard sale stuff. Yard sale sites will range from large multi-organization sites to individual sites along US Highway 341. A special “Official Vendor” sign will identify each official Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale site. Participating vendors will include a variety of fabulous sidewalk sales at downtown businesses as well as traditional yard sale fare from handmade crafts, old and new items, antiques, and more. Official yard sale hours will be Friday – Saturday, March 11-12, 8am – 6pm, rain or shine. Please note that some participating communities will feature yard sales on Sunday, March 13th. It is definitely an opportunity to shop until you drop, and a great way to find unique gifts or decorative items for your home. Yard Sale sites will be located in Culloden, Roberta, Fort Valley, Perry, Hawkinsville, Cochran, Eastman, Helena, McRae, Lumber City, Hazlehurst, Graham, Baxley, Surrency, Odum, Screven, Jesup, Brunswick, and the Golden Isles.
