Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Swiss charge d''affaires once again following the US "allegation" that Iran has plotted assassination of Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington. The Swiss charge d''affaires whose country preserves the US interests in Iran was summoned to the foreign ministry for the second time. Tehran and Washington severed diplomatic relations in 1980. Iranian Foreign Ministry Director General of North American Office as highlighting the US international commitments stressed, "there is no doubt that the US allegation is all unfounded, but the US government is obliged to hand the culprit''s personal information and provide consular access for him. Any delay in the issue would go against the logic of the international law and the US government''s commitments." The Iranian official handed a memo to Swiss charge d''affaires in this regard during the meeting. Swiss charge d''affaires said, "I informed the US government of the details of previous session and I will hand the memo to the US administration and report any possible outcome to Iranian Foreign Ministry.
