Flood in Salehabad, a village in Torbat-e-Jaam Townships district in Iran, killed three and inflicted damages to agriculture and animal husbandry of many villagers Wednesday. Head of the Natural Disasters Headquarters of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Province Governorate announcing the news in an exclusive interview with Iran's News Agency "IRNA" Wednesday night, added, "Carelessness of a Nissan pickup and driving through the flood path lead to his death and the death of two other passengers in his vehicle. Engineer Rashid Sahabi added, " Heavy rains and the resulting floods surrounded four districts in Salehabad village of Torbat-e-Jaam Township as well as Kwaf and Rashtkhar townships, but thanks to the timely intervention of the rescue and relief teams of the regional Red Crescent and the natural Disasters Headquarters there were no more casualties and the material damages to were minimized. He said that 42 rescue and relief teams have so far been dispatched to the disaster region, as well as teams form the Power Ministry and the Roads and Transportations Ministry offices, and 100 tents have been erected a temporary residence of the flood stricken victims. Maximum precipitations in the province has been reported to be 29 millimeters in Golmakan, and the least in Kashmar, was 23.5 millimeters within the past 24 hours.
