President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in New York on Wednesday that hegemonic powers were serving interests of 'uncultured capitalists” under the pretext of bringing democracy to world nations. In a meeting with anti-war activists and leaders, the President said 'Hegemonic powers claim to bring democracy and freedom to nations while they are pursuing interests of unclutured capitalists using bombs and weapons.' “There is no war between (world) cultures and civilizations,” stressed the President. He further said, '30 years ago, the US was considered an invincible power by the world nations, but today it is not even able to solve its minest problems.' President Ahmadinejad is in New York to take part in the 66th UN General Assembly. He is to address the gathering on Thursday.
