A two-day exhibition was launched Thursday by Tamkeen to exhibit the business prototypes for the finalists of the ‘Fourth edition of the Mashroo3i Youth Business Awards’. The exhibition, held at the West Wing of Seef Mall – Seef District, will run until Friday 4th August.
The 30 teams showcase their business prototypes and interact with the public, giving them the opportunity to learn and experience the different business projects created by the participants.
During the two-day event, Mashroo3i judges will rate the individual teams based on the quality of the business idea in terms of innovation and uniqueness, as well as on the strength of project management, and the clarity and persuasiveness of the business outlet. The public was also encouraged to visit the stalls and vote for their favorite teams.
The public exhibition is the culmination of the efforts exerted by the participants who have undergone several stages including the basics of business planning, as well as creating a business plan with the assistance of prominent business entrepreneurs in the Kingdom, and then creating a business prototype in preparation for the public exhibition.
The final exhibition will lead to an award ceremony which will take place on 5th August, 2017. During the ceremony, the winners of the first three positions will be announced in accordance with the performance of the teams during the public exhibition and the judges’ evaluation. The judging panel includes Shaikh Hesham Mohamed Al-Khalifa, Sabah Khalil Al Moayyed, Managing Partner of Intellect Resources Management, and Mr. Yousef Al Bassam, Head of the Deals Committee in the Saudi Angel Investor Oqal Group. The three winning teams will receive support from Tamkeen, and incubation opportunities provided with private sector support as well as local and international internship opportunities in their related fields. Also, nine teams will be honored across the various award categories.
